March 5, 2014 (Toronto, Ontario) – After resounding success in Canadian and Australian bars, restaurants and retail, Tequila Tromba proudly announces its expansion into the US market, starting with Illinois, DC and Maryland.
“Moving into the US, we will carry our home-grown identity with us,” says Eric Brass, co-founder and CEO of Tequila Tromba. “Our focus will continue to change the perception of tequila and creating craft tequila lovers everywhere. We have already spotted bootlegged bottles being poured at bars across the United States.”
Represented by Tenzing Wine and Spirits in Illinois and Craft Wine and Spirits in Maryland and DC, Tequila Tromba is taking a similar approach as it did in its home countries –strategically building strong relationships with the best ambassadors for their product, the bartending community.
“As the US sells more than 70 times the amount of premium tequila than Canada and Australia, it’s natural for Tequila Tromba to move into this market next. We’ve also picked our distribution partners very carefully. I can’t tell you how excited we are to be working with a sales-force who cares about premium handmade products.”
All Tequila Tromba skus – Blanco, Reposado and Anejo – will be available with Anejo coming to market later in the year.
